You can subscribe to OnSong in one of two ways – through the App Store, or through the OnSong website. While each one is similar in how it functions, we'll cover both ways below.
App Store Subscription Renewal
If you've purchased an OnSong Premium or Essentials subscription inside of the OnSong app, the subscription is handled as an auto-renewing in-app purchase. This means that every year or every month, the App Store will automatically bill your payment method on file with Apple. The renewing process is completely handled by Apple. Apple will automatically renew at the end of the period unless you tell it otherwise. So if you started the free month trial on December 17, 2021 and you have an annual membership, starting January 17, 2022, Apple will charge the card that you have associated with your Apple account. Of course if you have it set up monthly, the same thing will happen but just every month. Once the payment is successful, your subscription term is extended through the paid term.
You can view your billing history, change your plan, or cancel your subscription through the Manage Subscription area in the App Store app.
Solo or Group Subscription Renewal
If you've subscribed to OnSong through the website with a Solo or Group subscription, things work slightly different. You enter your payment details into our secure Stripe billing portal. Once your initial transaction succeeds, your account is provisioned for the feature tier (Essentials or Premium) and plan (Solo, Band, Team or Campus) you've selected. For instance, if you purchase an OnSong Premium Band subscription, you are automatically added to that organization and you can access premium features along with the other team members you invite. When the paid term is up (year or month), the credit card on file will automatically be charged. If there's an issue with payment, you will be notified via email so you can sign into the billing portal to review your billing history and update your payment method. You can also alternately change your plan or cancel your subscription in the billing portal. Each of these actions communicate changes to the OnSong account system, keeping your subscription up-to-date.
