OnSong provides you with plenty of ways to import and export files to and from your library. Be sure that before you transfer any files you have the right to do so.
If you have two devices and need to transfer a library quickly, you can do so using an Apple technology called AirDrop. AirDrop allows file transfers between devices using point-to-point WiFi. This has the advantage of being both fast and wireless and does not rely on third-party storage providers or computers. Here are some steps for transferring your backup from one device to another using AirDrop.
Make sure that OnSong is installed on both devices. To restore a library, you'll need to either be running OnSong 2020 or the latest version of OnSong with a membership tier as the free version of OnSong is limited to 30 songs and cannot restore libraries.
Next, on the device containing the library you want to share, open the Share Menu by tapping on the square with the up arrow icon. Choose the Open option. This will display a screen with various file formats. Choose the OnSong Backup file format and then tap on the Open In button in the upper right corner. This will display the standard activity view controller. Here, tap on AirDrop. As long as both iPads have WiFi enabled, the new iPad should appear and you can select it. This will back up the library on your old iPad and transfer it wirelessly to the new iPad, prompting you to choose the app you would like to open the backup file with. Choose OnSong and the backup will be imported and restored on the new device.
