If you've purchased OnSong from the App Store in the past, you can continue to use OnSong without purchasing a subscription. Since 2020, we've renamed OnSong and OnSong Pro to OnSong 2020. You can continue to receive OnSong 2020 updates through the App Store app. While we are not adding any new features, we are planning to continue to support the product.
OnSong 2020 is no longer available on the App Store which means if you've purchased a new device, you may only find newer versions of OnSong on the App Store that can cause confusion. Please install OnSong 2020 in the App Store app to install your original purchase onto your new device.
In 2020, we added an OnSong Premium, a subscription that gives you premium features in the app as well as premium technical support. We've added numerous features in OnSong Premium, but if you've purchased add-ons in the past, you can still access those through the account details screen when you are not signed in.
In 2022, we've released a new version called OnSong 2022. This app and higher versions of it (2023 and so on) are available for free on the App Store and features can be unlocked using a paid OnSong subscription. This gives bands and teams a great way to share set lists without needing to purchase a full-blown app. You can also try features before committing to purchase. The subscription model allows us to continue to provide world-class support and services, as well as continuous updates with features our users want.
If you had purchased OnSong Premium in a previous version of OnSong, you can sign into a newer version of OnSong with your existing account to unlock all new features. You can also subscribe to OnSong Essentials or OnSong Premium within the new app as well.
Our goal with OnSong is to ensure that you retain access to the products you've paid for while simplifying our products and services through a single account-based system which allows us to provide continued support, features, and services to our users.
