OnSong Console works by setting your iPad up as a web server while OnSong is running. If you don't have OnSong up and running on your iPad, the server will not be available. In addition, your network can change the web address of your device at any time or will change the web address if you change networks. Before you use OnSong Console, go into the Utilities Menu by tapping on the gear icon in the Menubar and then choose Console. Locate the web address that appears on the screen and type that into the location bar of your web browser.
Please note that this screen can display the web address either as a series of numbers known as an IP address or as a local domain name. You can tap on the web address to toggle between each. While the IP address may change, the domain name will likely remain constant but may not work on all computer platforms.
In iOS/iPadOS 14, Apple has required apps that access the local network to ask permission before use. You will need to make sure that you have granted OnSong permission to access the Local Network so that OnSong can start the webserver that is used to perform Console functionality.
If you continue to have issues, be sure to reference the OnSong Console FAQ for help in troubleshooting network, security, or web browser-related issues you may be experiencing.
