OnSong does provide a version of the app that is a free download and offers various free trials before paying for a subscription to OnSong Premium. To try OnSong, go into the App Store and search for OnSong and download the version that is free. From there you can sign up for a free OnSong account to start using OnSong. With the free version you may import up to 30 songs and use viewing features.
Starting Your Free Trial
If you want to import more than 30 songs or access more features, you can sign up for a free trial. The app will display an overlay with a "Try It Now" button. Tapping on this will let you sign up for a free, one-month trial when you choose an annual OnSong Premium subscription, or a 7-day free trial when you choose month-to-month. This will unlock all the features of OnSong immediately for you to try.
You can also start your free trial by tapping on the gear icon in the Menubar to open the Utilities Menu and then tap on Account. When you are signed in you should see an Upgrade to OnSong Essentials or Premium button to start your trial.
Cancelling Your Free Trial
If you're not satisfied during your premium subscription free trial, you can cancel your subscription through the App Store before the trial runs out. That way you won't be charged for the first year or month according to the payment term you've chosen. Free trials can only be used once so make the most out of it!
Free Trials are for Premium Subscriptions Only
Free trials are only available for OnSong Premium subscriptions, not for our Essentials subscription tier. In addition, OnSong 2020 is available as a one-time purchase from the App Store, however Apple does not permit paid apps to be made available in trial form. Free trials are also not available when you sign up for Solo or Group subscriptions through the OnSong website.
